Bright Future for Children in Tembaro!
Mudula town, capital of Tembaro woreda, has many children who are eligible for pre-primary schooling, but due to lack of schools that take in children at ages before primary levels, most children stay at home. Early Childhood Education (ECC) is essential to the development and future success of children. Research shows that early childhood education lays the foundation for lifelong learning abilities as well as cognitive and social development of a child. That is why providing access to ECC for children in Tembaro, Ethiopia quickly rose to the top of WEEMA’s priorities.
We recently constructed a new kindergarten block and latrine at Mudula Primary and Middle school. This is the fourth KG we have constructed in Tembaro district with a 5th KG to be completed soon. Now, Mudula town and nearby villages can send their young children to safe and inclusive spaces for learning.
We’re excited to be a part of these children’s bright future ahead!
