Beekeeper Cooperatives Report Sweet Success!

Ten WEEMA-supported beekeeping cooperatives are thriving in the Tembaro and Hadero-Tunto Zuria regions, thanks to the generous support from donors like you. Over the past three months, 233 beekeepers, including 96 female beekeepers, report an improvement in the quantity and quality of honey production, resulting in an increase in demand for higher-quality honey in the local market.

Sustainability and knowledge sharing are crucial to WEEMA’s work- our staff and beekeepers continue to share their knowledge and skills in modern beekeeping practices with traditional beekeepers in the region, supporting the growth and livelihood of all beekeepers in the region.
